Hello, my name is Riley, and I am in my final year at Cal State LA as a TV, Film, and Media major. This school year, I have the privilege of teaching the filmmaking process to a group of about fifteen 4th–6th graders. We are currently in preproduction for a short film about three best friends who find their friendship tested when a new boy arrives at their school.

I’m fundraising to acquire the equipment needed to bring this project to life. So far, I’ve purchased a camera and some basic accessories, but we still need audio and lighting equipment, lenses, and a few additional tools to complete our setup. If there are any funds left over, my goal is to give the kids a small budget for props, costumes, and set dressing.

This project is more than just a short film. it’s a hands-on learning experience that will teach these students the fundamentals of cinematography, sound design, and lighting. While I’m committed to making this happen no matter what, your support would help make the process more accessible, creative, and professional for the kids.
