Who are we?

My name is Stephen Sugarman and my partner and wife Karen own

Gallery13.

Gallery13 is a contemporary art gallery that has been working with Minnesota-based artists since 2005. We are creating a project to ensure artists from within the Minnesota arts community have the opportunity to exhibit at International Art Fairs.

What are International Art Fairs and Why are they necessary?

Art fairs offer artists and small galleries the opportunity to take part in an international art market where their work will be seen by collectors, curators, museums, and a large contingent of the general public from all over the world.

The cost of exhibiting at these fairs is cost-prohibitive to smaller galleries and their artists because of the high fees to attend, the transport of work, and the drive from Minnesota to Miami.

How our Gallery Project purposes to help.

We have created this initiative to make international art fairs available to

small galleries and artists. With your support, we will take three artists to the

Red-Dot Art Fair during Miami Fair Week in December 2022.

How will your donation be used?

The funds we raise will go toward paying for a booth at the fair, transportation of art to and from the fair, and covering costs of lodging and daily expenses. We are working to make this a successful annual project. We hope to raise $4,000.00 to help with the expenses that I have outlined below.
