Hi there. I’m a single mom who’s recently been diagnosed with nocturnal frontal lobe epilepsy. This causes recurring tonic-clonic (grand mal) seizures that cause me to lose consciousness right before waking up. I have a lot of follow up neurology appointments and tests set up. I lost my Medicaid right before this diagnosis, so medical bills have been piling up and I’m still attempting to catch up. I raise my daughter on my own. I don’t have a caretaker or any roommate. I was lucky enough to have someone present for my first few seizures but I can’t expect anyone to take care of me. While going through this, I’ve been dealing with extreme anxiety when it comes time for me to go to bed for the night. Sleep deprivation can actually raise my seizure risk so my sleep schedule has now become a priority. This condition also carries a high risk for “SUDEP” or sudden unexpected death in epilepsy.

If anyone is willing to help me raise money for this sleep monitoring camera, it would be greatly appreciated. It’ll alert my emergency contacts in case of a nocturnal seizure and especially a grand mal.
