Asking for help is one of the harder things I’ve ever had to do, but when it comes to my sweet girl Paisley, I’d do anything to make sure she has the best care and quality of life.
Back in 2023, we discovered a number of serious medical issues at the young age of 4. She has severe hip dysplasia, arthritis in multiple joints, and had an unfortunate accident slipping down a flight of stairs that lead to a fractured hock joint that never healed quite right. Since then we have been able to manage her pain with meds and keeping her active, which is when we found our love for hiking and going on many adventures! But as of the last couple weeks she hasn’t been able to put any pressure on her right back leg.
Paise still lights up at the mention of a walk or a hike, but unfortunately her body is struggling to keep up with her love for adventure.
After visiting an orthopedic surgeon, we came to the conclusion she doesn’t qualify for surgery, but luckily we have options for rehab therapy and injections. Her new treatment plan consists of Adequan injections and supplements to support her joints. She’s already showing signs of improvement. What she really needs now is a specialized Orthodoc Joint Brace designed to support her unstable ankle and help relieve pressure. Not only does the brace provide joint support, it will reduce her daily pain and help her move more freely, but also helps prevent additional joint damage and long term issues.
I know times are tough for many, and asking for help isn’t easy. But anything is greatly appreciated to get my sweet girl the care she needs! The funds raised will go directly toward the cost of the Orthodoc joint brace, and any extra donations will help cover her ongoing medical care, including injections and medications to manage her arthritis pain.
Thank you for reading her story, for sharing it, and for helping however you can. Paisley and I are forever grateful.
With love,
Kendra and Paise
