I was awarded the opportunity to study abroad this summer on a once-in-a-lifetime journey to Tuscany, Italy for 5 weeks starting end of June to pursue a special concentration within my drama major.
Before settling in, I’m flying into Rome and spending a few days exploring some of the world’s most iconic cultural landmarks—like the Colosseum and the Sistine Chapel.
As someone who is half Italian, this trip is deeply personal and meaningful. It's not just a chance to study abroad—it's an opportunity to connect with my roots and immerse myself in the kind of art, history, and performance that I would’ve never had access to otherwise.
This experience will have a lasting impact on both my college education and my future career in the arts. I’ll be learning new acting techniques and creative practices from an international perspective that will broaden my craft and inspire new depths in my performance work.
I’ve been fortunate to receive several scholarships and grants to make this possible, but unfortunately, the cost of food is not covered in my program. Any support you can give will help me stay nourished and allow me to fully take in this incredible opportunity.
The tuition alone for the program is $6,200—not including travel, food, or other expenses—and I’m working multiple part-time jobs this summer to raise as much of that as I can on my own.
I also hope to explore more of Italy through day trips, learning as much as I can along the way. I’m endlessly grateful to my family and community for helping me chase this dream. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Grazie mille!
