Help Fund a Harp-E for Protest Music
Donation protected
Hello! Like many, I am dismayed by the actions of our current government and am raising my voice at protests…in song. However, the instrument I am most comfortable using to accompany myself is the harp, which is bulky and expensive and difficult to carry with one at a protest. I am asking friends who would like to support me in protesting to help me raise funds for a Harp-E, a small portable electric harp. The protests I am playing at have sound systems, so I can plug in there, but should there be additional funds raised, I will also invest in a belt-pack rechargeable amplifier, for more mobility with audibility (the Harp-E is very very quiet if it’s not plugged in, the result of having no soundbox to speak of).
I so deeply appreciate all of the friends who encouraged me to set this up and said they would donate! If you can’t donate, the next best thing to do is boost the signal—please share this with like-minded friends.
I will be playing at tomorrow’s protest in downtown Indianapolis during its first hour, 12-1 pm, in between two folks giving speeches. (Playing tenor guitar, decidedly NOT my best instrument, but it’s what I have and I’ve been working hard at it.) Come on down, donate, or spread the word—it’s all part of the resistance!
