Help fund a defibrillator for Barbara Dinko's daughter.

Barbara Dinko, our beloved teachers' cafeteria worker's daughter Jaclyn (Jackie) has cancer and the medication she must take creates a risk for her heart due to a previous illness that affected her heart when she was younger. Jackie desperately needs a defibrillator to save her life that she will carry with her in case her heart suddenly stops. She is a RN so she will teach her children how to use it.

The cost is about $1,600 and they are currently trying to save enough money to buy one. Please do what you can to help!

Jackie is an alumni of NRHS. Barbara and all her children went through the New Rochelle School system and are lifelong NRHS residents. Jackie was also a Cheerleader at NRHS.

Jackie was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma 3rd stage B. two weeks before walking into NRHS as a Senior! Chemo, radiation, PET scans, blood transfusions to name a few and a Hickman put into her chest. We were told 20 years down the line she could possibly develop another form of cancer. Almost 20 years to the day of being pediatric cancer free, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer. They gave her a 5 year diagnose. Its been about 6 1/2 years now so prayers and change in lifestyle of eating has helped. She only worked as a school nurse at a private school in New Rochelle about a year after being diagnosed. Jackie also is a professional cake artist but had to give it up due to problems with her hands and back problems. She got herself on Cake Wars way before she became a professional artist. My daughter is a fighter and is trying to fulfill her bucket list!!
