I would prefer to listen to someone's story rather than their eulogy "This is my story"
My name is Terry Bilsbrough I'm fund raising to help fund the cost behind writing my memoirs, these are a ghost writer, agent and producer. The book will be called "The Ticking Timebomb"
The book will cover a car accident I was in at 19 years old, in which I broke my Femur and humorous after which the doctors told me I may never be able to feel my hand again and walk properly, what do they know he I worked hard to make a full recovery.
Im then going to cover me army career where I will cover the introduction to my battalion and the keeping you in your place situations that happen. These are part of you becoming a part of a team. I'm going to cover the comradery and the serious side of the job.
I started the army as an infantry soldier but decided that the saying "Your not paid to think" were not for me so I put in for transfer to became a bomb disposal hero (Ammunition Technician in real terms) as I had seen them while in Northern Ireland.
I passed the selection for the the transfer including psychometric tests (Must of fluked that one) and after a rough time training I graduated to become an ammunition technician.
Later in my job I became the Terrorist team leader at the worlds only (at that time) Counter Terrorist Bomb Disposal training school I did tours of Northern Ireland as both infantry 1LI and Bomb Disposal. A 6 month operational tour in the Falkland Islands was squeezed in there too.
There are a lot of funny, sad, serious parts that will make you want to read more.
Then failing my hearing test at my 30th medical and all but being out of the army within two days, not much of a debrief or help with the trauma side of the job.
I'm currently off work with Military Complex PTSD and I'm not proud of it, It came up and kicked me in the spuds one day, it kind of comes with the job in a way.
I'm getting the correct help to try and unravel my noggin but it takes time.
I want this book to be read and help people understand the life our armed forces live with every day. Hopefully some one who is in my position will read it and speak up and then get the help they need.

I one person seeks help after reading the book I will of achieved a goal.

Thanks Terry Timebomb my nickname by my friends.
