Help Fund 2024 U.S. Olympic Hopeful Tyler Johnson

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Herb Ford and I am taking it upon myself to help one of the hardest-working, most intelligent, and inspiring young men I have ever encountered make it to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. The path to the Olympics is not just about dedication and skill; it demands substantial financial resources which include, food, coaching fees, travel, equipment, physical therapy, housing and so much more. I desire to help launch Tyler Johnson into his dream by mitigating some of these costs so he can focus on training.

The reason this is important to me is because it is very difficult to train and raise funding for all that goes into being a world-class athlete alone. Here is just a little bit that I can share with you about Tyler's story. Tyler has had to overcome a lot of adversity to get where he is today. Since he was young he has been very self-conscious and even embarrassed because of a stutter in his speech. He was bullied and had a hard time feeling confident in his abilities. Tyler then found a way to overcome those challenges by focusing on the sport of track and field. Through track and field
Tyler would not just become good, he would become a champion.

Those accomplishments would include winning multiple state championships, which ignited the fire and ambition in him to reach for more. As he continued to hone his skills and push the limits, he earned a place at the Ohio State University where he not only excelled at the track but obtained both a bachelor's and master's degree. Tyler has received numerous Big Ten honors, All-American honors, and the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor which is the highest recognition within the conference and it symbolizes the dedication and hard work he poured into the classroom and the sport. Tyler competed in the 2021 Olympic Trials while still in college placing 15th overall but has been ranked as high as 38th in the world in the 400M with a time of 44.95.

These funds will be used to help Tyler move to California where his coach is located and he can compete with the highest level of competition. In addition, the funds we are raising will help him over the next three months and be used to help pay for lodging, food, equipment, training, travel, and physical therapy. Any amount you give would be great and give him the means to pursue his Olympic Dream. Thank You!
