Help Zayne Take His Next Steps Toward Becoming a Pilot

From a young age, Zayne has dreamed of becoming a pilot. At just 15 years old, this young aspiring pilot from London has already taken real steps toward that dream. He is part of Fantasy Wings, actively involved in Air Cadets, and has flown both a glider and a powered aircraft.

Aviation is not just something he enjoys — it’s what he sees as his future.

As a young Black aspiring pilot from London in the UK, Zayne is pursuing a career where representation is still limited. There are not many Black airline pilots in the UK, and he hopes one day to not only sit in the cockpit himself, but also inspire other young people who rarely see someone who looks like them in that position.

Flight training, however, is extremely expensive.

As his mum i am doing everything i can to support him, but regular lessons cost £300 per hour. To help him continue progressing and to strengthen his CV ahead of applying for competitive pilot scholarships at 17, we are hoping to fund additional lessons at Elstree Aerodrome in Hertfordshire.

Our Goal:

Cost per lesson: £300 (1 hour of flight training)

Number of lessons we are hoping to fund: 15

Total fundraising goal: £4,500

What 15 Hours Will Do for Zayne:

These additional 15 hours will build his confidence and cockpit experience, strengthen his practical flying skills, demonstrate long-term commitment, and significantly improve his chances when applying for aviation scholarships at 17. Most importantly, it will help him maintain consistency in his training so he does not lose momentum.

In aviation, continuity matters. The more consistent the training, the stronger and safer the pilot becomes.

Every donation, no matter how small, will go directly toward Zayne’s flight lessons and helping him move one step closer to his dream.
