My father Glen (Craig) Moore has recently been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Unfortunately, he is not a candidate for surgery or treatment as it was found too late and he has lost too much muscle mass to withstand any treatment. We are at the make him comfortable phase of this battle, and I mean battle!!! My dad is not giving up, he is fighting and doing everything he can to be here as long as he can.
Craig Moore has always been the kind of person everyone can count on- a loving husband, devoted father, and a loving friend to many. I feel like nearly every weekend of my childhood he was working on someone's car for them or doing something to help someone. That's who he is. Simply one of the most giving and selfless people you could ever hope to meet. He would do anything for anyone and if he loved you, he would move mountains for you.
For years he has worked hard to provide for his family and created a warm stable home full of love. But now he is facing the toughest fight of his life: Pancreatic Cancer. His condition has worsened and doctors have told him that his time is limited. The cost of care, travel to appointments, the outrageous monthly share of cost for Medicare, and a fixed income have taken a tremendous toll. My parents are still recovering from the financial toll of my mother's second bout with cancer just 5 years ago. She still sees her oncologist and has to have blood transfusions semi-regularly, but she is cancer-free!!!
My father's greatest concern now isn't for himself. It's for his wife (my beautiful mother Sandi). My father's wish is simple: to make sure his wife and daughter (Kyra, who is there helping as much as she can financially, with appointments, and care) can stay in their home once he is gone. The mounting bills and financial strain put that dream in jeopardy.
My father should be enjoying his retirement and living out his best years with the love of his life, instead he is in the fight of his life. He's a member of the Pharoah's Car Club and loves to participate in car shows. First with his pristine old Mustang, and more recently with his project Ford Ranchero. My parents have travelled all across America together on his Harley and made many amazing memories in their 58 years of marriage. We'd love for my father to focus on making whatever more memories he is able to make and relieve the burden of my mother's future for him.
This GoFundMe has been set up to help cover medical expenses, household costs, and mortgage payments so that my mother has stability and peace of mind during this heart-breaking time. Every donation, no matter the size, makes an incredible difference. If you can't give financially, please consider sharing this campaign with your community.
Together, we can give my father and mother the comfort of knowing they're not alone in this fight. Thank you for your kindness, love and support.
