Help Fulfill Tom's Final Wishes
Donation protected
It all started in February when we found out that our loved father, Tom, had hepatitis and cirrhosis of the liver. While doctors were optimistic that he might be able to receive a liver transplant, we received word that he had only a few weeks to live. After just a few days, Dad received his discharge from the hospital, and the younger of my brothers, Anthony, who is just 26 years old, was given the responsibility of locating a healthcare facility to assist Tom while he was waiting. After overcoming the few weeks allotted to him, Tom was allowed to take to the skies. Anthony flew Tom from California to Boston because it was one of his last wishes. This is too much for a 26-year-old to manage, especially since he works as a flight attendant full-time. Anthony didn't want to waste any of his time with his father, though. Anthony devoted a lot of time to his care. Then things went south for Tom. On April 29, Tom experienced multiple organ failure and was admitted to the hospital. Anthony received the most devastating news of his life on May 27th: his father had died. In addition to trying to pay his bills, a 26-year-old now has to organize his father's funeral. Since Tom had no insurance, all expenses had to be covered out of pocket. As a family, we are doing everything we can to assist, but we respectfully ask that you help us by helping Anthony pay for his father's funeral and medical expenses. Tom's wishes were to be cremated and to have his ashes spread over Hawaii. Please help make his dying wishes come true. We thank you so much for all of your help; it is greatly appreciated.
