My father has been battling leukemia for the past two and a half years. Despite his strength and determination, two rounds of chemotherapy were not successful, and now his health has rapidly declined. He is about to be placed on hospice, and our family is facing the heartbreaking reality that we may only have a few days or a week left with him. The loss of his health benefits after retirement has made it even more difficult for us to provide the care and experiences he deserves in his final days.

Throughout his life, my dad has been a devoted father, husband, and a true pillar in our community. He has inspired countless people, including our childhood friends and many kids from troubled neighborhoods. My dad was always there to take kids fishing or camping for the first time, offering guidance and support as a father figure to those who needed it most. He coached soccer, worked hard for his family, and gave selflessly to others. Sadly, he became too sick to enjoy the retirement he worked so hard for, and we want to make sure he can still experience some of the things he loves—like fishing, camping, or visiting the ocean with his family—before he passes.
