I never imagined I would be writing something like this for my brother. He has fought cancer with incredible strength, determination, and hope, believing with everything in him that he could beat it. Sadly, we’ve recently received heartbreaking news.

The cancer has spread to his lungs. He now has multiple nodules that have grown rapidly in just one month, along with a lymph node that has dramatically increased in size. The chemotherapy he has been on has caused severe side effects, and this was his final available chemo option. While there may be clinical trials that could help, there are no other standard treatment options left at this time. Doctors have shared that his time may be limited — possibly six months to a year.

As his sister, watching him face this reality has been devastating. And yet, even now, he continues to show courage and clarity. One thing that has remained constant for him is a lifelong dream to visit Japan, something he has talked about for years and holds very close to his heart.

This fundraiser is aimed at making his journey to Japan a reality while he still has the strength and capability to travel. He is doing everything he can on his own, and this trip means more to him than words can express. Any support given is toward helping him experience this dream — one filled with meaning, peace, and memories during an incredibly challenging time.
