Marcella (Marcie, to family) Villanueva was as genuine as they come. She was a gift to us all, a loving mother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, niece, friend, and partner. She was so strong physically and mentally, in the gym where she loved bonding with her friends, in competitions and races, on the pickleball court, and in her 1 1/2 year fight with pancreatic cancer. She fought for time to spend with those she loved. Quality of life was her goal. Though this awful disease took her from us much too soon, she spent her limited time thoughtfully connecting with those around her and cherished that opportunity. She told the doctors and nurses all the time how lucky she was to have such an amazing community of love and support, and I always reminded her it’s because she’s amazing.

Marcella’s wish was to be buried among her family in Saint Mary’s Cemetery, which is unfortunately in high demand and quite pricey. If you can spare a donation to help us make her wish happen, her family and I would be so grateful.
