My mother passed away on January 9, 2025. Her name was Luzviminda Del Rosario Chan. She was only 67 years old when she left this world. Due to scarring of her lung tissue and complications with both pneumonia and the flu, she fought hard for her life for 4 months before succumbing to her illness. She leaves behind not only a caring family here in America, but also a family in the Philippines. Please, if you can, help my family fulfill a kind soul’s final wish.

Luzviminda only recently came to America and since her arrival, worked 12-hour shifts in a care home, in order to support her family. Not only did she have to earn money to live in a country that was new to her, but she took on the responsibility of caring for her sick son and supporting the education of her grandchildren back in the Philippines. Even after her diagnosis, she continued to work despite her doctor’s recommendations. Her life has always been to help and support her family. Now, we are hoping you can help us do the same for her kind soul.

Her last wish was to go home to the Philippines. Although there were more opportunities here in the United States, she left behind the world she knew in order to provide for her family. Please help us fulfill her last wish. Your money will help us have a funeral in the States for her children before transporting her body to the Philippines. Please help my family grant my mother's last wish to allow my family to grieve properly and honor her for all her hard work and sacrifice. Thank you and God bless.
