My dad, Eddie Pabón, has endured the devastating weight of eight strokes since 2011, fiercely fighting through every associated health battle with unwavering courage. His strength, resilience, and spirit have been a testament to a survivor’s heart—fighting against overwhelming odds, refusing to surrender.

For the past 14 years, my incredible mom, Juanita, and my devoted brother, Jr., have been his unwavering caregivers, pouring their love, patience, and sacrifice into every day, enduring the relentless side effects of his battles. Their devotion has been a beacon of hope amid endless hardships.

In July 2025, two more strokes struck him, bringing the total to ten—each one stealing more of his strength, stripping away his speech and independence. For over a decade, we watched our father and husband face these ruthless attacks with the fierce tenacity of a Marine, battling for every ounce of his health. But sadly, the war has ended, and victory has eluded him this time.

On Tuesday, 7/22/25, we made the heartbreaking decision to honor his last wishes and placed him on hospice. Watching him decline so rapidly has shattered us beyond words. There is nothing more traumatizing, more heart-wrenching, than witnessing the strongest person you know—your hero—slip away, slowly losing the battle you fought so desperately to win together.

Now, poignantly and with broken hearts, we come together to ask for help in fulfilling his final wishes—to arrange his cremation and a memorial service. In this moment of unimaginable loss, we cling to the love and support of those around us, honoring the incredible life of a man who fought with every fiber of his being.
