Help Fulfill Adena Ezgihariya’s Dream of Resting in Eritrea
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,
We are in disbelief over the passing of our beloved Mother and grandmother , Ezgihariya Abraha, who left us today, Saturday, November 2. 2024 at the Cerenity hospice center in Minneapolis, MN. Judge Afeworki’s late wife Known for her warmth and radiant spirit, she was the heart of the home, always gathering her family around her for meals filled with laughter and stories.
Adey Ezgihhariya bravely fought chronic illness for almost a year, facing each day with courage and hope, until she peacefully returned to God. Her absence has left a profound void in the lives of her family, friends, and the Minnesotan Eritrean Community as well as St. Gabriel Eritrean Orthodox Tewahedo Church.
However, Judge Afeworki’s late wife harbored a cherished wish: to return home to Eritrea, to the city of Asmara, alongside her beloved husband, Judge Afeworki Ghiorghis. She longed to be buried in her childhood church in Medefera, where the memories of her family and her roots ran deep.
Surrounded by her family, Adena Ezgihariya faced her journey with grace. She often spoke of her wish to return home, a desire that lingered in her heart even as her body grew weaker. When she peacefully passed away, she joined her father in heaven, leaving behind a legacy of love and the warmth of her presence.
Now, her family seeks to honor her final wish. They are asking for donations to help fulfill her dream of being laid to rest in her home church in Medefera. It’s a small request for a loving matriarch who gave so much to those around her. Through this, they hope to keep her spirit alive, united in the love she fostered in their hearts.
Sincerely Judge Afeworki and entire family.
