Help Fulfill a Lifelong Dream of Studying in Japan

Hey, everyone!

As many of you know, I’ve dreamt of living in Japan since I was a kid. If you’ve spent more than 5 minutes talking to me, it’s sure to have come up at some point. Now that I’ve completed my bachelors degree, this dream is attainable.

I’m setting up this GFM for those that would like to support me on my academic journey overseas. I will be attending language school in Okinawa starting October 9, 2024. The program I am enrolled in will allow me to develop Japanese fluency, which is necessary to attend graduate school in Japan and join the workforce.

The tuition cost for the year and a half that I will be attending is ¥1,251,000. As of writing this, this amounts to approximately $8,050 for the entire program, including my visa and materials. The $10,000 total is to account for the fees GFM takes as well as exchange rates and possible inflation, since currently the Japanese yen is somewhat unstable and fluctuates each day. This means that the tuition may become more expensive in USD despite being a fixed cost in Yen. I am more than happy to provide receipts after as well.
