Help Fulfill a Dream: Support Study Abroad

Ever since I was younger, I dreamed of one day studying abroad. I had heard other’s stories, and once I finally got to college I watched a great deal of my peers go too. They all came back with stories of how studying abroad changed their life forever, and I always looked forward to that experience myself. That is, until I saw the price tag associated with it. My particular program costs over $6000 and does not include my plane ticket, meals, or spending money which will likely cost another $3000. I ultimately decided to leave it up to the universe: I spent countless nights applying to competitive scholarships and was eventually awarded one! The award was for $3500 and would cover half of my program, and I planned on working to come up with the rest. However, government funding for my scholarship has been paused, and no one is sure if/when it will be resumed. In addition to all of this, for the first time in my college career my class schedule did not allow for me to continue working this semester. I have been working side hustles and waitressing on some weekends though! I already paid my deposit and do not want to pass up this once in a lifetime experience. Anything truly helps so much!
