Help Fulfil Megan's Final Wish: A Safari Trip

We are reaching out with heavy hearts but with hope - hope that we can give our beautiful Megan the chance to fulfil an item on her bucket list and attend a safari to either Kenya or Tanzania.

After five years of bad health, Megan at the age of 33 has now been diagnosed with cancer that is no longer treatable.

As you can imagine this is devastating news, which has shocked our families, however Megan continues to face each day with a smile and remains positive with her outlook on life.

Megan is a very social, bubbly person who carries out two jobs, firstly as a hairdresser and a second job as a carer, visiting people in their own home.

She is a caring person and loved by everyone who knows and works with her. Her infectious smile and her bubbly personality make her a joy to be around.

Megan is a country girl at heart and loves the outdoors. She is happiest when she is with her partner of 17 years - Liam and their 3 dogs, 3 cats and horse.

Megan has had a turbulent few years, with varying health issues, starting five years ago, when she had to have a number of cysts removed off both of her ovaries. The following year Megan broke her foot and had to have a metal plate inserted. This was followed by severe infection in her foot and leg leading to further operations to remove the metal plate. Then sadly, her health issues declined further when in March 2023, Megan was diagnosed with Stage 3, breast cancer. She had to endure six cycles of chemotherapy and also had full radiotherapy. During treatment she suffered severe side effects and also lost her beautiful, waist length hair. Not only did Megan have to endure the pain from the medical treatment, she had to deal with the phycological and emotional distress. However thankfully, Megan fought her battle and in January 2024 Megan beat cancer and was given the all clear.

Following the news that she was free of cancer, Megan was at last well enough to return to work, however bad news struck when in May this year (2025) Megan found another lump in her breast.

After check ups and biopsy's, Megan received the devastating news that she now has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, which had also spread to her lung , lymph nodes and bones. The cancer is now incurable.

For Megan it is all about pro longing her life, rather then curing the cancer. The doctors are doing all they can to shrink the cancer but currently there is no guarantee that the medication will prolong Megan's life.

Megan has continued to be incredibly brave and never moans or complains. We as her family would love to see Megan fulfil her dream of going on a safari. To enable this we are trying to raise enough funds to cover the cost, to enable Megan and her partner Liam, to have a dream Safari holiday.

The goal is to raise enough funds to cover the cost of the holiday, flights and insurance.

It would be wonderful if you could donate but even if you cannot, it would be kind of you to share this message far and wide to hopefully raise as much funding as possible.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and a even bigger thank you if you can afford to donate - your help is much appreciated

From the Danver's (Megan's family) and the Woodward's (Liam's family) we cannot thank you enough.
