FUKK art space at risk: Come to our Rescue❤️

We are a thriving collective of 14 artists who have passionately created art for over 12 years. During this time, we've organized free events, exhibitions, performances, concerts, and actively participated in significant cultural festivals in Copenhagen. However, our financial resources are running out, and now we're reaching out to ask you for support.

Our goal is to preserve our space in Nordhavn and make improvements that will enable us to continue creating art to be shared with everyone.

Our journey began at old our space in Amager, where we played a vital role in the PB43 creative community, consisting of 150 talented individuals. Together, we contributed to the rich tapestry of creativity in the area. Unfortunately, a large industrial company outbid us all, leading to our displacement.

Since relocating to Nordhavn, we've been fortunate to still be part of a vibrant community of artists with whom we collaborate with. Thus, 3 years ago, By & Havn initiated the reconstruction and gentrification of Nordhavn, resulting in the demolition of several artist studios.

Despite these challenges, FUKK managed to survive and continue thriving creatively. This time, we are determined to secure our place as long as possible, by resisting displacement by large industries. The preservation of art and culture is a collective responsibility – and it's apparently up to the people to ensure it.

For now, By & Havn has granted us permission to stay, but we need financial support to maintain and improve our art space.

With the funds we hope to raise, we aim to:

• Attract new members by providing a warm, safe environment during the winter months (currently lacking heating and we have holes in the sealing).

• Create specific areas for painters and establish an isolated sound studio.

• Cultivate a vibrant cultural hub for the local community and offer workshops to help others unleash their creative potential.

• Shift our focus towards creative projects rather than monetary concerns.

• Collaborate with fellow artists and perhaps even be able to compensate them for their work.
