FACT: I will change the lack of availability in early learning and provide safe and quality education for young people.

I'm Denise Duncan, an educator with a wealth of experience spanning various roles in the education sector in New York City, from Science teacher to Assistant Principal to serving as an NYC Coach for leaders and teachers. Throughout my career, particularly as a high school educator, I've witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by students entering high school education without adequate foundational skills.

Far too often, I've encountered high school students lacking essential Math and Science foundations, often disinterested in these subjects due to limited exposure in their earlier education.

How can we expect minority students to pursue careers in Math and Science when they lack fundamental skills? How can they compete in fields that require these skills? I realized that this gap stemmed from a lack of early learning exposure.

Imagine the impact of intentionally integrating Science and Math education into early childhood learning. How might exposing children to the Arts foster creativity and shape their futures?

This is why I am passionate about launching Dreamland Discovery Early Learning Center (D-DEL), a groundbreaking Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math (STEAM)-focused learning center catering to children aged 3 months to pre-kindergarten.

D-DEL will bridge these gaps by providing a nurturing, inclusive environment centered on STEAM and social-emotional learning (SEL). Through our programs, children will develop crucial skills like creativity, critical thinking, and emotional intelligence, setting the stage for academic and social success.

We're not just a daycare; we're a learning center committed to becoming a community cornerstone, supporting families, and laying the foundation for lifelong success for our children. Dreamland Discovery Early Learning will enable children to Dream, Explore, and Create- EVERYDAY.
