Help FTC Team 9974 T.H.O.R Pay for Worlds!

Tax deductible
Hello, we are FTC Team 9974 T.H.O.R. from Johnston, Iowa!

We are a 7-person community-based team with members representing Johnston, Waukee, Urbandale, and Altoona. Unfortunately, since we are community-based, we receive no funding from schools and must obtain 100% of our funding through grants, fundraising, and generous donations from our supporters (like you)!

First Tech Challenge (FTC) is a program for 7-12th grade students that introduces kids to the world of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Each season, teams design, build, and program robots to play in 2v2 matches against other teams, in addition to promoting STEM in their communities as well as connecting with STEM professionals. By doing this, students build unique teamwork and STEM skills that set them up for successful careers far beyond FTC.

On March 4th, 2023, our season-long dream came true: we won the Iowa State Championship (with our partners 18527 PCM Alchemists and 7841 Ballen Pretzels 2), and qualified for the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas, on April 19th-22nd, 2023. We will be 1 of 192 teams from across the globe competing in the event, and one of only three teams from the state of Iowa.

Any amount of assistance you can provide would be a huge help to our team. Funds raised will help with registration for the World Championship, travel, lodging, and robot parts, in addition to other event-related expenses.

Thanks for helping our dreams come true!
