If you've ever interacted with Fritz and Judi Moertl, you know how unbelievably generous, caring, and supportive they are with everyone they come in contact with. Every person in the Moertl family is kind and fun and wonderful to know and they are currently in need of extra love and support!

On April 7, Fritz was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma brain tumor. During his biopsy, the neurosurgeon determined that the tumor is inoperable, so his treatment will include radiation and chemotherapy.

Fritz is determined to beat this cancer! He knows he has a lot of life to still live and is ready to put up a hard fight!

Here's where you come in:
First and foremost, the Moertl family needs prayer. They know that God is the ultimate Healer who loves them deeply. Pray big prayers for healing, comfort, peace, and joy as they walk through this difficult season as a family.

Second, anyone who has ever paid a medical bill knows they are expensive. Donating money is a tangible way that the Moertls' community can rally around them and support them through medical bills and the time off work that Fritz will need to take. Every single dollar makes a difference!

The goal is to overwhelm the Moertl family with love, prayer, & financial support by showing up and standing with them while Fritz beats this cancer!

Hi all,

This is Kaileigh (Fritz's daughter). As most of you may know, my sweet dad passed away on May 19th, 2019 with the 5 of us surrounding him and lifting him up into God's hands. He died exactly 6 weeks after his diagnosis and there are no words to capture how quickly those 6 weeks flew by.

He spent 29 of those 42 days as an in-patient, only coming home for 13 days , from April 11th-24th, after his initial hospital stay. Even for that short time he was home, my parents' time was full of various doctors appointments and trying to find time for him to rest. From then on, he was in the hospital and eventually a rehab center. In the middle of the night on May 18th, he was transferred from a rehab center to a hospice facility, where less than 24 hours later he passed.

We just want to thank you all SO much for your continued support of our family - through donations, prayers, meals, flowers and everything else you have all done for us. It is humbling and brings us to our knees that so many people want to help us during this time. We are keeping this page active for now, as my dad's medical bills continue to pour in from his 6 weeks of medical care. This fundraiser has already been an amazing gift for my mom to help shoulder the burden of debilitating medical expenses. We learned very quickly that brain cancer is the polar opposite of cheap.

Please keep praying for us as we navigate through the grief of my dad's death. We are so sad and heartbroken, yet so grateful for all of you and all you have done to support us over the past couple of months. Thank you.
