Help Fritz Baggett recover from the Oak Fire

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kristy. I’m a good friend of Fritz and many others in the midpines area.
As you know, many people lost their homes and livelihoods to the Oak fire that tragically tore through Mariposa county a couple weeks ago. Fritz was no exception.
Buckingham Mt rd. was one of the first communities the fire burned, it’s also where Fritz both lives and works. but it’s more than just a street, it is a wonderful community. Many in the area are mourning the loss of their possessions as well as the the loss of the beautiful landscape they all called home. It’s truly heartbreaking and unfortunately all too common in California.
Fritz was not at home when the fire broke out. He wasn’t able to get to his property until after fire crews had left the area and by then it was too late. Much of his property had burned.
He lost his gorgeous stick built home that he spent many years working to complete, which was also a source of income.
He lost several vehicles, including his work truck, all being key elements to Fritz’s livelihood.
His entire shop filled with a lifetime of tools, both functional and sentimental, are gone. If you know Fritz, you know how much his shop meant to him. His tool collection was so vast, and he was often called by friends and family to help with various home and mechanical repairs, he was always happy to be able to help out, but it is also the things he lost were necessary for maintaining his homestead and business.
It’s devastating to loose everything, and humbling to ask people for help to rebuild and get back on your feet after such a loss.
Let’s help Fritz regain some tools and essentials that are needed to begin the long process of rebuilding both his home and livelihood. #oakfire

Update: Fritz would like to extend his thanks for all your support, love and donations. We went to the property yesterday. It was surreal to see the devastation to the land and how fiercely the fire ripped through the area. I’m sure he’s still processing the experience.
He was able to purchase a new chainsaw today thanks to all of you and is extremely thankful as it will help him work this next week.
