Help Fritz and Terri Battle Glioblastoma

I am Amanda (Polt) Haspert, one of Chris “Fritz” Polt’s two sisters. Together with my parents, Roger & Lois, and 4 siblings, Jason “Jake”, Tony & Addie, we are reaching out to those who are able to help defray the medical expenses Fritz & his wife Terri have incurred from treatment of his glioblastoma.

On December 22, 2022, Fritz came home from work just like every other day…but never got to go back. He had a seizure that evening and it was discovered that he had a brain tumor. He had the tumor biopsied and resected as much as possible, but Glioblastomas are tricky and tough to completely remove. Unfortunately, while the neurosurgeons did the best they could, he lost a lot of the use of his right side. He’s been through rehab and learned to use his left side better and continued with chemo as directed.

Over the past year and a half, his medical needs have increased. Infusions are biweekly and an hour away. Fritz’s mobility has recently decreased due to the reduced function of his right side, so he needs additional medical equipment to meet his daily needs.
