Hi, I'm Andrew and I am making this for my cat, Frisco, who is 17 years old.

Frisco has always been an energetic ball of love who I named after his frisky nature when I got him at five years old. Over the last few years, he's obviously slowed down due to becoming a grandpa cat but has also struggled with severe health issues. The two we've been able to treat him for being arthritis and an upper respiratory infection that he continues to struggle with nonetheless.

In this past year, his condition has worsened dramatically:

Sneezing constantly with boogers all in his fur

Drainage from his tear duct and being unable to open his eyes

Lack of grooming

Being unable to breath out of his nose and raspy breathing through his mouth

The most recent and worrying being his extreme weight loss

Frisco has always been a well-fed cat and always loves to eat/steal your food/be a nuisance but has begun to show signs of dental issues due to gross gnawing sounds when chewing as well as wincing in pain. At this moment Frisco is no longer a fluffy lively ball but a skeletal husk of the cat he used to be. I attached photos with comparisons to attempt to display his weight loss. He has stopped eating his food as much even when we try to force him. He feels like a bag of bones when you pick him up and he mews in pain in response. On top of that, its hard to pet him due to there being no fat between his fur and his spine.

This page is made as a last attempt to help our cat because neither I or my family can currently afford what it costs to get Frisco the help he needs. When our other cat got very sick due to a virus two weeks ago, they required a $2000 down payment for them to look at him. After keeping him overnight with bloodwork and antibiotics they couldn't name what he had and it costed over $3000. Frisco also has common checkups at the vet which are at least $500 each time.

While Frisco is 17 years old and one can claim he's lived a long, happy, and good enough life, it hurts more than anything to see one of the most important parts in my life to have to go through so much pain on a daily basis and I don't want to just give up on him and have him wither away. He's always been there for me and I don't want to let him just die. I want him to at least feel okay for a bit before being put down or dying due to age.
