Hi. I'm Amanda, and I volunteer most of my time and resources in my retirement to helping stray cats in my community. I help with a local trap and neuter group, and I am often a resource that my neighbors use when stray cats are found so that I can foster them and eventually find them homes.

One of the cats that I rescued, Frida, was doing well in my care but stopped eating all of a sudden, kept her tongue out of her mouth constantly, and started losing weight. I've taken her to a few doctors, and a specialist said she has a condition called Stomatitis, which is a very aggressive infection starting in her mouth. The main form of treatment is removing all of her teeth, which is devastating but is the only way we can hope for her to recover from this and live a healthy life.

The treatment is expected to cost $7,000 at least, so I've started this fundraiser in the hope of helping with some of the cost. I have taken in few cats myself already and spend all of my time and money on feeding and caring for my own cats and the local stray colonies. Any little bit can help with this massive and unexpected cost.
