Freyja, (formerly Diamond), was adopted in August 2025 from Stray Cat Sanctuary. Just a few days after her adoption, her new parents noticed Freyja tilting her head and falling over when she walked.

Her parents were very proactive and immediately took her to the vet. After three vet visits, a polyp was discovered in Freyja’s ear.

Freyja’s parents took her to a specialist and imaging had determined that, not only had Freyja’s polyp started to grow through the skull bone, but she actually had multiple polyps/masses that needed to be removed.

Freya had a very involved surgery to remove all the polyps and additional masses, and she is doing great so far in recovery. However, this has left her new parents with a medical bill of $6,608.91.

This is never something you expect when you adopt a new kitten. Freyja has the best home, and Stray Cat Sanctuary is determined to help as much as we can.
