On October 2nd my sweet rescue dog Freya suddenly loss the use of her legs. The Veterinary Specialty Center of Stillwater got her in for an emergency surgery, giving her a 90% chance of a full recovery. But the surgery cost $8,000. It was, of course, worth every penny.

Freya can feel and move both her legs now, and she’s not having any accidents in the house! She is outrunning her sling already, despite being as wobbly as a toddler. In a couple weeks we should know whether she will need a wheelchair.
