ITA • Ciao, mi chiamo Arianna e sto raccogliendo fondi per aiutare a coprire le spese mediche della mia gatta Freya, di 5 anni.

Freya era stata diagnosticata la scorsa estate con un linfoma a grandi cellule nella cavità nasale. Ha affrontato due cicli di radioterapia e, fortunatamente, il secondo trattamento ha avuto successo e, almeno per il momento, il linfoma è sotto controllo.

Purtroppo nel corso dell'ultimo controllo è stato però individuato un nuovo tumore al polmone, che abbiamo fatto rimuovere chirurgicamente. Il costo di quest'ultimo intervento ha superato i 5.000 €. Inoltre ho ancora un debito aperto con la clinica che ha effettuato i trattamenti radioterapici.

Il linfoma a grandi cellule è una malattia molto aggressiva e il rischio di una nuova recidiva esiste sempre, quindi ho bisogno anche di costruire un piccolo fondo che mi permetta di affrontare eventuali cure future se Freya dovesse averne nuovamente bisogno.

I trattamenti di radioterapia sono costati quasi 7.000 € ciascuno, una spesa che ho potuto affrontare soltanto indebitandomi. L'ho fatto perché non considero Freya solo un animale domestico. Lei è come mia figlia e non ho mai esitato a fare tutto il possibile per offrirle le migliori cure.

Sono una ragazza AuDHD (diagnosticata) che vive da sola e i miei animali sono la mia famiglia. Vivo con tre gatti in totale. Uno di loro, Solaire (5 anni), soffre di una grave patologia renale probabilmente causata da una precedente ischemia. Ha bisogno di mangiare esclusivamente cibo renal e di controlli veterinari frequenti, e sono entrambe cose che contribuiscono ulteriormente al carico economico.

Ogni contributo alla raccolta aiuterà a coprire:

• Il debito residuo per le radioterapie di Freya

• L'intervento chirurgico per il tumore al polmone

• TAC, esami diagnostici, visite veterinarie e farmaci

• Eventuali cure future in caso di recidiva del linfoma

ENG • Hi, my name is Arianna, and I’m raising funds to help cover the medical expenses for my 5-year-old cat Freya.

Freya last summer was diagnosed with large cell lymphoma affecting her nasal cavity. She underwent two courses of radiotherapy, and thankfully, the second treatment was successful and, for the time being, her lymphoma is under control.

Unfortunately, during her last checkup, a new lung tumor was discovered, which we had surgically removed. The cost of this last procedure exceeded €5,000. I also still have an outstanding debt with the clinic that performed her radiation treatments.

Large cell lymphoma is an extremely aggressive disease and recurrence is always a possibility, so it's crucial for me to have a financial safety net in case Freya requires further treatment in the future.

The radiotherapy treatments cost nearly €7,000 each, expenses I was only able to face by going into debt. I made that choice because I don't consider Freya just a pet. She is truly my daughter, and I have never hesitated to do everything possible for her.

I am a (diagnosed) AuDHD woman living alone, and my animals are my family. I live with three cats in total. One of them, Solaire (5 years old), suffers from a severe kidney disease likely caused by a past ischemic event. He requires a renal-only diet and frequent veterinary check-ups, which further add to the financial burden.
