Help Freya's Cat Rescue Rebuild and Relocate After Tragic Attacks
Freya’s Cat Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming vulnerable cats and kittens, is in urgent need of help. We have endured devastating trauma, both human-made and environmental, that has left us heartbroken and struggling to continue our mission.
What Happened:
Fluff was abandoned on our property pregnant and I brought her into our non profit building to give birth. She had 4 healthy adorable kittens, 2 orange and 2 tiger. On May 2nd, our rescue building was broken into during the early morning hours. A nursing mama cat named Fluffernutter and her litter were brutalized. Three of her healthy kittens died from injuries inflicted during this attack and Fluff has not recovered from having her eyes harmed.
Our website was hacked and completely wiped. We’ve been quoted over $5,000 to rebuild it from scratch, which is far beyond our current budget. We need a website to tell our story, helps our partner companies and support our rescue efforts
Neighbor dogs have been intentionally released onto our property, killing chickens and attacking our cats.
Several of our beloved rescue cats have been poisoned (one confirmed antifreeze case), shot, and dumped here by others.
Our animals are being used for target practice (see black hole images on cats face and roosters side)
Cats are being abandoned on our land without our consent or ability to treat them, and local vets are now refusing appointments due to slander and interference. They are not spayed or neutered.
Our animals' safe spaces have been vandalized — scratch posts and blankets destroyed, sliced, cut into, one post marked with a pink "V" as a chilling warning.
Our roosters have been stolen, and coops broken into and recently a metal roof intentionally dented and damaged.
When I finally listed the home for sale with many beautiful upgrades, the perpetrators treated it like a “bucket list” of what to destroy. We have incurred thousands of dollars in damages.
This is not random vandalism. It is systematic, calculated abuse — and it’s been reported, yet ignored or even concealed by some local officials.
Why We Need Help:
Freya's Cat Rescue is a registered 501(c)(3), operated from love, compassion, and deep spiritual commitment to animal welfare. We urgently need funds to:
- Rebuild our website to continue adoptions, outreach, and donations.
- Secure emergency transport for our animals to move to a safer location.
- Purchase or rent a trailer for cats, supplies, and equipment.
- Hire a trustworthy driver for relocation.
- Replace vandalized supplies, cat furniture, and damaged structures.
Our Goal: $15,000
Every dollar will go directly toward:
$5,000 — Website recovery & hosting
$6,000 — Relocation trailer rental/purchase & animal transport
$2,000 — Veterinary emergency care
$2,000 — Supplies, food, enclosures, post-vandalism recovery
