Help Freida and Seesmic Get Back on the Road
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Freida, known as RVFreeDa on YouTube.
After nine years of traveling the USA from Alaska to Florida in my 1993 Fleetwood Coronado (WYSIWYG), my transmission has failed. I’m stuck in a parking lot in Kingman, Arizona. My RV won’t move. I’m not done yet, however; I love traveling the USA. I’m 77 and healthy, and there is no reason I can’t go on.
After having a panic attack because I worry about the heat for my 15-year-old German Shepherd, Seesmic, and myself, I spent days trying to find a repair shop and finally found one that will give me a fair price. But most importantly, it is up in a cool place, Williams, AZ. It gets unbearably hot for me here in Kingman. Then I found a tow truck driver that will tow the RV up to the repair guy.
When I sold my home 9 years ago, I followed my dream and turned 70 in Alaska. I drove my WYSIWYG (RV) towing my 1999 pickup behind. So instead of buying a new fancy RV, I bought this one from a friend for $500 and put a lot of money into it by installing solar and other upgrades. I love it and my pickup.
So basically, I’m asking for help because Social Security scares me, and I might have to survive without it. I have much of what I need to do so if I don’t take on any more payments and get a newer RV. The mechanic says everything else is good.
The estimated costs so far are:
$3400 for the transmission
$1500 for labor
$800 to tow it
Total $5700
As much as it pains me to ask for help, I see no other way to raise the money. So I’ve set up a GoFundMe.

Please send whatever you can! I’m desperate at this point or I wouldn’t ask.
