Help Free Victor From ICE Detainment
Donation protected
Victor Varela Avila is presently being detained by Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE). Since May 7, 2025, Victor has been detained at the San Francisco Airport after returning home from a trip to Japan where he was visiting his son, who is a member of the U.S. Air Force. He has been a legal resident of the United States since 1967. He has a wife and many children and grandchildren (all US citizens) who are deeply concerned about his well-being.
Victor is a long-time resident of San Diego, California. He works as a legal assistant at the Workers' Compensation law firm of Kiwan & Chambers APC representing injured workers. He has held this position for over a decade. He is very well-liked by his coworkers and clients, who he is constantly trying to support with help and compassion.
He is being held by ICE for a past nonviolent offense that occurred in 2009. Victor successfully completed his sentence, and that offense was deemed a misdemeanor. Now, many years later, he is caught in a legal nightmare which has resulted in detainment by ICE with no release in sight.
Victor desperately needs financial help to hire an experienced immigration attorney to represent him in these complicated proceedings. Any contributions will go directly to his legal defense fund to help release him from this terrible nightmare.
Your help is needed. Please donate so we can free Victor and get him home to San Diego, where he belongs.
