I am Andrea, a tattoo artist in Broward County, who immigrated from Mexico along with my family to Florida when I was a kid along with my sisters and parents. They have worked relentlessly for over a decade to give me and my two disabled sisters an opportunity in this country.

On April 2nd at 6:30 am my dad (65 years old) had a minor car accident on I-95 on his way to work, police was called, and my dad was detained and taken to an ICE facility and into a detention center. We were only recently able to start his adjustment of status process, and had made progress in it, but police said with the current orders they are on that would not help and he needed to be detained regardless.

My mom is a full time care taker of my two disabled sisters, who have cerebral palsy, making my dad their only financial support in the household.

We are now facing a long road ahead of attorney fees, along with any other costs this process may take, as well as providing support while me and my mom take care of my disabled sisters and their household.

My dad has been a hard worker for the past 14 years in this country, who brought us here to get as much help as we could for my sisters disabilities, without their decision and sacrifices to do this for us our lives would have looked so different, the road has been very hard, and this happening while we were so close to fixing their legal status finally has just felt extremely heartbreaking and hopeless feeling for my whole family.

This will not only be a huge toll financially, but my dad also helped us carry my sister that is quadriplegic (not mobile), and was also a daily carer for her, and lightened the load of care from my mom. This change will be a huge toll emotionally and physically on all of us. He is just such an important part of our family.

We would appreciate any kind of support to get through this process, and we ask you keep us in your prayers and thoughts that my dad can be released and we can take care of everything as it comes.

The beneficiary on this fundraiser is my husband, Warren Creller. He and I will use all donated funds for my dad's legal expenses and the family's household expenses. I am the one handling my dad's case too as my mom doesn’t speak English, so I am in charge of the attorney stuff.
