I am a civil and human rights advocate urgently raising funds to support the legal defense of a longtime Oklahoma resident currently held in ICE custody. He was granted political asylum and a Green Card, but is facing deportation today.

This individual has been detained for nearly 100 days. He suffers from serious medical conditions, including PTSD caused by torture he endured in a political prison for standing up against one of the world’s most oppressive regimes.

He has lived in Oklahoma for nearly three decades, building a life and contributing to his community. Yet today, he faces the grave risk of being deported—not to his country of origin, but to a third country where he could once again be subjected to torture or inhumane treatment.
