Hello, everyone.My name is Olga. It so happened that my mother Natalia has been in immigration detention since September 8, 2024. It's been almost 1.5 years. Mommy celebrated her two birthdays, two new years, and two Christmases in prison.On September 18, my mother turned 69 years old, she has various diseases. Now it's hard for her to walk, her legs hurt a lot, her eyesight became bad due to stress (cataracts were found in two eyes), blood pressure, joints hurt a lot, constant cold, a huge number of women- unbearable conditions of detention. She was replaced by 3 cubs: Otay Messa, Richwood Louisiana, South Louisiana. My mom is a wonderful person, educated, and a teacher. She has never committed illegal acts , devoted herself to children all her life, raised grandchildren, and worked in a kindergarten . During the time Mom was in custody, the grandchildren grew up, and another granddaughter was born. We've put in a lot of effort while Mom is in the cubs. Massive funds for the immigration process .We hired a lawyer, participated in a paid class action to get out of the cubs, and hired an expert for the trial. The trial took place and the mother won protection from deportation, and on July 10 the judge ruled. The appeal was not filed . But they still don't let mom out of the cub, it's very hard for mom, unbearable.The last hope is Habeas Corpus.It's very expensive because it's an application to the Federal Court to consider my mom's release. Mom is looking forward to meeting us, to see her grandchildren and her little granddaughter, whom she has never seen before except on video and so wants to take her in her arms. Mom can't really eat there, the food is bad. There is an online store called a commissary, of course, everything is paid, calls, videos, a store . At least you can order instant coffee, chocolate, cheese. But none of this compares to when they tell her you're free.
