Estamos fazendo esse fundraiser para ajudar o nosso amigo e conhecido de muitos aqui do South Shore, o Malton Lacerda infelizmente foi apreendido pela imigração enquanto colocava no carro as compras que tinha feito no Walmart de Halifax, MA no ultimo domingo. Ele estava com o seu filho e foi apreendido sem muita explicação. Ele se encontra agora preso pela imigração em Plymouth e já tem uma court marcada, o objetivo é arrecadar fundos para pagar o advogado e possivel fiança que será estipulada pelo juiz.

Malton e pai de 2 filhos e já mora aqui nos EUA a mais de 24 anos é muito ativo na comunidade brasileira sempre levando seus cavalos nas festas juninas para as crianças andarem a cavalo.

We are organizing this fundraiser to help our friend Malton Lacerda known to many here on the South Shore. Tragically, he was detained by immigration officials last Sunday while loading groceries into his car at the Walmart in Halifax, MA. He was with his son at the time and was taken into custody without much explanation. He is currently being held by immigration in Plymouth and has a court date scheduled; the goal is to raise funds to cover legal fees and any bail the judge may set.

Malton is a father of two and has lived in the U.S. for over 24 years. He is very active in the Brazilian community, often bringing his horses to *Festa Junina* events so children can enjoy pony rides.
