I'm a 35-year-old woman who lives alone with two cats (Scully and Don "Donnie" Quixote) and several mice, who I all love very much. They have been imperative to my mental health lately.
Back in October, I was evicted from my house without a source of income to find other stable housing arrangements. Since then, not wanting to risk living on the streets, I have been living in and out of a hotel until I can find affordable housing that will accept kittens. I do not have family in the area that can accommodate me and have been unable to afford a medical appointment to get my ESA letter adjusted for both cats.
Despite all this, it was comfortable. The animals and I were safe, that's what mattered most to me. I did pick up a job, but it's part-time. It was better than nothing, though. I Ubered to make ends meet for us. It's not the best life, but it is a life. It's safe. That's enough.
On February 9th, 2026, I was involved in a motor vehicle accident on a delivery that trashed the front end of my car and left me with a number of injuries. I currently have major bruising and soreness on my stomach, chest, and some physical and open wounds on my arm. It wasn't medical emergency worthy, but they have left me very sore. This incident has left me with no income, no way of working, and no car.
I'm freaking out over this. Bad. Without a car, I have no income to pay for any of my expenses. Not the room, not a new car, nothing. My cats are out of food and I have no way of getting more even.
I don't know what to do and I need help. I desperately, desperately, desperately need help of any kind, but especially financially. Anything helps, even if it's a few cents, a dollar. Anything. I'm not joking. Please. I just.
I need help.
