On Feb 24, ICE abducted my partner Jonatan David Garcia Aguirre while he was eating breakfast in Baltimore. Jonatan is a legal asylum seeker from El Salvador with full rights under US law, but those rights are being denied.
The cost to secure a lawyer to represent him is $10,000, which we don't currently have. This is also time-sensitive, because when he's moved to another court system, they won't grant him the rights to hear his case.
We are asking for support from those who care about justice for our community members whose lives and families are being ripped apart. Please help us free Jonatan Aguirre!
2/27/26 UPDATE: THANK YOU to everyone who has donated and shared, I can't put into words how incredibly grateful we are. Since the $10k is only for a lawyer retainer, we are increasing our goal based on estimates the lawyer gave us for all of Jonatan's legal fees. Again, thank you all so much.
