We are reaching out on behalf of our beloved friend and sister, Sheridan Bood, affectionately known as “Halo.” She came to the United States from Belize when she was just 12 years old and has spent the last 20 years building a life filled with purpose, service, and hope. Halo embodies the spirit of the American Dream. Determined to thrive, she worked tirelessly to improve her life. She completed a year-long leadership and career development program through CROP Organization, where she gained

skills in digital literacy, financial education, and personal growth. Her commitment didn’t stop there, Halo went on to become a drug counselor with Homeless Health Care of Los Angeles, dedicating herself to serving unhoused and vulnerable communities across California. Helping others was her way of giving back to the country she calls home. Despite doing everything “the right way,” Halo’s dreams have been put on hold. While working through the legal process to obtain permanent status, she was detained by ICE, leaving her future uncertain. Her immigration case is currently pending, but she needs a

strong legal team to advocate for her freedom and keep her from being deported from the only home she’s known for two decades. This is where we need your help. We’re raising funds to retain an immigration attorney who can fight for Halo’s release and legal status. Every dollar you give goes directly toward legal fees, advocacy, and reunifying Halo with her community. Halo has always shown up for others—now it’s our turn to show up for her.
