My name is Ana, and today I am writing to you to tell the story of young Ernesto Dario Jasso Flores, who is going through an extremely difficult time because he is currently detained unjustly.

Last Monday morning, August 25th, he was detained by immigration agents who approached him as he was leaving his home while trying to go to work. During the arrest, he was not shown any arrest warrants, nor was he charged with any past crimes.

Ernesto Dario is a person of excellent moral character, responsible, hardworking, a community servant, and a good person. Ever since he was kid, he has had the dream of joining the high school football team, which he was able to accomplish through his hard effort. Because of his passion of sports, he has rejected bad habits and addictions. This led him to help his local church parish with its pastor, Fr. Larry Goode, in the small organic farm, where he applied his knowledge of organic agriculture. Dario always worries about others, even in difficult times like at this moment. As of right now, he has met people who cannot communicate with their family members and has asked to locate them; he is also sharing the minutes of telephone use he has, with them. Therefore, I find it extremely unfair that he is in this sad situation and suffering the ordeal of being in prison.

Added to this painful experience is the anguish of having to face a series of extremely expensive legal expenses. The costs have been very high, and although the family has done everything possible to cover them up to now, they can no longer afford them alone.

Therefore, today I am appealing to your generosity because I know that with your help, we can raise $20,000, which will be used to cover the expenses and achieve his prompt release.

I know many people are going through difficult times, but believe me, any financial contribution, large or small, will be very helpful and will be deeply appreciated. Every contribution, no matter how small, means a glimmer of freedom for Ernesto Dario.

Me llamo Ana y hoy les escribo para contarles la historia del joven Ernesto Darío Jasso Flores, quien atraviesa un momento extremadamente difícil debido a su detención injusta.

La mañana del pasado lunes 25 de agosto, fue detenido por agentes de inmigración que lo abordaron cuando salía de su casa para ir a trabajar. Durante el arresto, no se le mostró ninguna orden de arresto ni se le imputaron cargos por antecedentes penales.

Ernesto Darío es una persona de excelente carácter moral, responsable, trabajador, un servidor comunitario y una buena persona. Desde niño, soñó con unirse al equipo de fútbol americano de la escuela secundaria, lo cual logró con mucho esfuerzo. Gracias a su pasión por el deporte, ha rechazado los malos hábitos y las adicciones. Esto lo llevó a ayudar a la parroquia de su iglesia local, con su párroco, el Padre Larry Goode, en la pequeña granja orgánica, donde aplicó sus conocimientos de agricultura orgánica. Darío siempre se preocupa por los demás, incluso en momentos difíciles como este. Actualmente, se ha encontrado con personas que no pueden comunicarse con sus familiares y les ha pedido que los localicen; además, comparte con ellos los minutos de uso del teléfono que tiene. Por lo tanto, me parece sumamente injusto que se encuentre en esta triste situación y sufra la dura experiencia de estar en prisión.

A esta dolorosa experiencia se suma la angustia de tener que afrontar una serie de gastos legales extremadamente costosos. Los costos han sido muy altos, y aunque la familia ha hecho todo lo posible para cubrirlos hasta ahora, ya no pueden afrontarlos solos.

Por eso, hoy apelo a su generosidad porque sé que con su ayuda podremos recaudar $20,000, que se utilizarán para cubrir los gastos y lograr su pronta liberación.

Sé que muchas personas están pasando por momentos difíciles, pero créanme, cualquier contribución económica, grande o pequeña, será de gran ayuda y será profundamente apreciada. Cada contribución, por pequeña que sea, significa un rayo de libertad para Ernesto Darío.
