Our family took our first vacation out of the country, we enjoyed our time together and we had so much fun that we were already planning our next vacation! Coming back into the country, Eliezer was pulled to the side at the airport by immigration officers to be questioned along with others. One by one, the others came out and left with their families. We however, were not so lucky and waited patiently for him to come out. After time passed, my gut was telling me something was not right. Finally, 2 officers came out with Eliezer's belongings and said he is being detained due to a violation in his residency. This was a surprise to me as I knew nothing of this violation and was in total shock of what was being said. The officer explained he will be detained and will see a judge in a couple days to decide if he will be deported or will be allowed to stay in the United states. DEPORTED!? This hit me hard and a million thoughts came to my mind, I completely lost it. I broke down and just couldn't imagine why this is happening to us. The officers left and I tried to pull myself together as much as possible for the kids sake. Eliezer was able to contact me several hours later to let me know he was completing paperwork at the airport and would soon be moved to the immigration detention center by Bush airport. At this moment, we have an attorney that is working with us that can hopefully help resolve this case. The upfront cost is $5,000 which the attorney is kind enough to allow a $2,000 down payment. This does not include any legal fees afterward. We all know Eliezer to be the ray of sunshine everywhere he goes. We know him as a hard worker, good father, husband, compassionate, friendly person that loves to talk! :) He never hesitates to help when help is needed and our family is not the same without him. Please help bring Eliezer home. If you can find it in your heart to donate, we would be forever grateful. We have a long road ahead of us, but we just have to take it one step at a time and remain positive. Thank you family and friends for your continued support and prayers, I will post updates as they come in. God bless!
