Please support this GoFundMe for legal fees for Jhonatan Daniel, known to his loved ones and family as Daniel. On January 27th, Daniel was kidnapped by ICE outside a gas station in Utica. He is currently being detained in Batavia Federal Detention. Originally from Ecuador, Daniel has lived in the US since 2023 and has been a member of the Utica community for over a year and a half.

Everyone who knows Daniel, describes him as a hard-working and talented individual. In his down time, he loves swimming and spending time by the water at some of upstate New York's scenic lakes.

His fiancée Sara, whom he planned to wed in March 2026, has been able to secure a private immigration attorney to help with getting Daniel released from Batavia on bond. The couple was also looking to begin renting a new home to start their new lives in.
