Dear bee Hippy Friends,
We need your help. On June 7th, 2023 the Garland Police Department in conjunction with the Dallas Sheriff's Department and local DEA task force illegally raided my home, an employee's home, and bee Hippy Hemp Dispensary. What did they find? HEMP! Legally compliant hemp all with COA’s (certificates of analysis) proving the delta 9 THC threshold was below .3% on a dry weight basis. Unfortunately the police chose to ignore that we’re a legally licensed (License # 1662) and a compliant hemp business. They then decided to arrest myself (Chris Fagan – Owner) and David Dranguet (aka Water Dave, an employee). We’ve both been charged with felony “marjuana” possession charges.
This isn’t just a war against bee Hippy, this is a war against your rights! The Garland Police Department does not represent the people of Garland and they clearly aren’t following State Law (House Bill 1325 ) or Federal Law (2018 Farm Bill) . Ignorance of the law isn’t a valid excuse and the Garland Police Department, Dallas County Sheriff’s office, and the DEA need to be held accountable.
How can you help and where do we start? Well, here at bee Hippy we want to be catalysts for positive change. We love the City of Garland and all the wonderful citizens but it has become readily apparent that the Garland Police Department needs a dynamic shift in culture. Unfortunately, the incumbent leadership at the Garland police department has proven themselves incompetent at interpreting basic laws and it’s time for a leadership change starting at the top. The Chief of Police Jeffrey L Bryan has been with the Garland PD for 20+ years but yet still doesn’t understand HB 1325 that was signed into Texas law in 2019. According to public data, Garland Chief makes $236,935 a year + benefits. This is 337% higher than the median salary in the City of Garland. With this amount of funding, Garland deserves leadership that understands the law. Wouldn’t it be great to live in a city where you can count on the police instead of living in fear? Let’s change our city for the better. The Chief of Police reports to the Garland City Manager and the Mayor. Please make your voice heard and reach out to these individuals with your concerns.

Next, we plan on fighting back with as much legal power as possible. This includes hiring the most competent criminal attorney to fight for our freedom! Thankfully we’ve already made some incredible connections and are in the process of assembling this team. In parallel, we also intend on filing multiple lawsuits against the agencies involved in trying to shut down our legal and compliant business. Unfortunately suing the government is a time consuming, expensive, and methodical process but we’re ready to fight the good fight to protect our rights! It has become more than obvious that the Garland Police Department is going out of their way to shut down our business and ruin our reputation based on their most recent Facebook posts (here and here ). These posts are an attempt by the police department to justify their absurd actions against bee Hippy! Please do not believe their lies.
If you’d like to donate to our legal fund all proceeds will be used to defend our freedom and to sue the government. Any additional funds raised that are not used will be donated to the last prisoner project, a non profit that specializes in fighting cannabis charges.
Lastly, the Garland Police Department significantly underestimates the power of the people. Help us make this accountability campaign go viral. Please share our story with anyone who will listen! When the time comes it may be necessary to hit streets and peacefully protest our rights! Stay tuned for more to come…
Let’s win this fight together!
Respectfully,
Chris Fagan ✌️
