We're raising money to help Amy Z buy a mobility scooter! Her life has been overturned by Long Covid and currently, all of her energy goes into the very basics of her needs so she can continue to work and receive health benefits. She spends her time off recovering in bed or on the couch, usually with debilitating migraines and most of us can't remember the last time we saw her take a walk or do something just for the fun of it.

Currently, there's only two companies that make scooters and only one that makes one for people who just have energy limitations and not balance issues. The "Van Raam CityWalker" is a company in the Netherlands and at the cheapest of the two options is still $1,500. Though it is classified as a walker, it is not covered by U.S. insurance.

Amazingly, the ONLY dealer in California for this bike is in Sacramento!! She went and test-scooted one and even the dealer shed a tear with us as she glided effortlessly across their concrete warehouse floor without the usual shortness of breath.

Long Covid ain't going anywhere and she's fighting like hell for what happy moments and rest she can. But our girl deserves some f*cking joy and whimsy that comes a little easier. Any amount will help get her out of couch jail and back in those streets. Her dream is to walk around a farmer's market. And...as a citizen of America's Farm to Fork Capitol...she darn well deserves to whenever she wants!
