Aliea Doungporn-Casey is more than just a talented chef—she’s a beloved friend and a vital part of our community. Eight months ago, while serving a meal from her brand-new food truck in Montrose, Aliea was wrongly detained by ICE agents. Despite being married to a US citizen and in the process of obtaining dual citizenship, she has been held in the Aurora ICE detention facility ever since, with no charges filed against her. Her absence has left a huge void, not only for her family but also for everyone who knows and loves her.
Aliea’s next court date is May 1st, and her family in California has worked tirelessly to hire lawyers to fight for her release. The legal fees are overwhelming, and we need your help to bring Aliea home where she belongs. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her legal defense and supporting her family during this incredibly difficult time.
Aliea is known for making the best Thai food around, and her generosity has touched so many lives through her cooking for the greater human community by providing healthy, nutritious Thai food that supports local farmers in Western Colorado. Your support means the world to us and will help reunite Aliea with her loved ones. My father and I appreciate those who stand with her and show that our community cares.
Thank you all kindly...
