Back in June 2021 my dad had quadruple bypass and my mom took family leave to take care of him when he came home. In July he was doing well, able to walk about four houses and back, but in August he started falling and would become unresponsive. An MRI revealed he had at least two mini-strokes. We had to put him into rehab center. It wasn’t long after that he was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s. My mom was devastated. She would hold it together when she was with my dad but at home it was a different story. One moment she’d be fine and the next she’d be a wreck.
Any and all money will go to medical bills and anything left will go to supplies that my dad needs when my mom brings him home as soon as possible. She’ll have to hire an aide to take care of him while she works. She needs four more years for her pension and hopes to retire and take care of him with a little help
Right now my my dad can’t walk or sit up on his own. This is a man that worked from the time he was in high school and spent 40 years in the electrical industry. My mom will need help dressing and giving him a shower. Our bathroom is on the second floor, so if we can we’ll get a stairlift for him.
I would be very grateful for any help you could give my parents. I know that my mom and dad will greatly appreciate any help that you can give.
