For over 26 years, Freddie Williams has been more than just a barber in Middletown—he has been a mentor, coach, and a community leader. Through his shop, 6 West Barber Shop, Freddie has dedicated his life to serving the people of Middletown and especially its youth. His work extends far beyond cutting hair: he has organized programs that provide meals, toys, clothing and essential items to families in need throughout the years.

Recently, Freddie has faced difficult hardships. He is dealing with a new medical diagnosis that has raised uncertainty about his health and his ability to continue the work he loves. In addition, a serious security incident at his shop has placed even greater strain on his business. Despite these challenges, Freddie’s heart remains with the community, and his greatest wish is to continue offering support, mentorship, and safe spaces for the Middletown Community & its youth.

The funds raised through this campaign will go directly toward helping Freddie keep his doors open to the community, continue his nonprofit community outreach, and ensure that local families and children receive the care and support they’ve come to depend on.

Freddie has given so much of himself to Middletown for decades. Now, it’s our turn to show him that his community stands behind him. Any contribution, big or small, will help Freddie continue his mission of service, love, and resilience.
